May 2017 Ministry Report
To attend this incredible Summit held in Washington DC would have to be one the most challenging and humbling experiences of my life.
Over 600 delegates from 160 countries gathered together for what I believe was a historical moment. How I thank the Lord for the boldness of Franklin Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for the enormous effort, time, energy and financial cost to make this conference a reality.
The stories told by so many would break your heart. To hear stories of the thousands slaughtered and tortured for their faith in Christ in so many countries, made those of us from western nations feel so humiliated. How easy we have it not having to fear for our lives or the lives of our families.
This Summit was not just a talkfest. It made us all determined to be more proactive to support our Brothers and Sisters and their families in these nations, which are so violently opposed to our Christian Faith. Plans are well under way for real concerted help. Already the U.S. President and Vice President have met with the leader from Turkey to have a key Christian Pastor released from prison. Many of the U.S. Senators pledged support as well. Leaders from other nations are returning home to do all they can to support those suffering for their faith.
Would you please pray as I contemplate and go over all that I have seen and heard? I will tell you in our next newsletter some of the ideas I am working on at the moment.
Thank you so much for praying for me, I appreciate it so much. These are such incredible times. The Church is under attack. We must not remain asleep.
Select a nation or area you know is under persecution and pray for the Believers there. “There is no change without a challenge”. The Summit challenged me so greatly. I pray that you will be challenged as well to ask yourself what more you can do for the persecution of Christians and how we can defend them now.
